Bringin’ It Back
Howdy!
I know I’ve been away for awhile. That was very rude of me. Now that I’m unemployed and have no really great job prospects in sight, I think it’s probably about time to start blogging again. Forgive me for being rusty. I’m sure it will all come back with time.
I don’t really have anything of relative importance to talk about right now. Since my last post, however, I have moved to Seattle. That’s been fun. I also got a cat. Yesterday it snowed in Seattle, but it’s been quite sunny today. Oh, the Northwest… Gotta love it! I went for a walk around Lake Union today, and I have to say that I think the importance of letting your inner scenester shine is completely underrated. I left my condo looking rather ridiculous – jeans and a hoodie, billed beanie, aviator sunglasses and huge head-phones covering each of my ears on the outside of the beanie. Well, that’s just how I roll. So, on my walk, I found this rotting beam that looked like it used to be part of a dock or something… I don’t know, it seemed like it used to be important, however it’s completely insignificant now. So I sat on it and wrote notes on a pad of paper while drinking coffee and smoking. At one point I realized how absurd I must have seemed amongst the $500,000 yachts, but that just compelled me to sit there longer, agitating the white-polo-wearing boat owners and earning curious stares from passersby. I don’t know if scenester is the correct word, but it certainly was EMO. And if there’s one thing we could each do a bit more often, it would be to look, feel and act slightly ridiculous from time to time.
Didn’t Dr. Seuss write a book about a fish out of water? Yeah, that. Let’s do more of THAT. Until next time… hugs and kisses!!!!!!!
